2018 Upcoming Balloon Festivals in the USA
In 1783, Joeseph and Stephen Montgolfier invented the hot air balloon. A hot air balloon works on the simple scientific principle that hot air moves up in cooler air. Hot air is way lighter than cold air because of its lower molecular density. A simple hot air balloon consists of essential parts: gores, parachute value, panels, envelope, burners, skirt, valve line, basket, cables, and fuel tank.
A hot air balloon costs around 20,000 to 100,00, requiring a minimum of one pilot and 2 chasers for effective take-off & landing. You must have a pilot license before flying a hot air balloon.
In the USA, we gonna witness several balloon festivals in the upcoming days. The streak of balloon festivals will start with Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta from 6 Oct to 14 Oct 2018 in New Mexico. Then it will be followed by Balloons Over Morgantown (West Virginia), Carolina Balloon Fest (North Carolina), and Great MS River Balloon Race (Mississippi). This entire streak will end with the Colorado River Crossing Festival (Arizona).
